The New Development Of Diamond Grinding Wheel

Diamond grinding wheels are special tools for grinding hard alloys, glass, ceramics, gems and other high-hard and brittle materials. In recent years, with the rapid development of high-speed grinding and ultra-precision grinding technology, higher requirements have been put forward for grinding wheels. Ceramic resin bond grinding wheels can no longer meet the production needs. Metal bond grinding wheels have high bonding strength and good formability. Long service life and other remarkable characteristics have been widely used in production.

According to different manufacturing methods, there are two types of metal bond diamond grinding wheels: sintering and electroplating. In order to give full play to the role of superabrasives, foreign countries began to develop a new type of grinding wheel with high temperature brazing technology in the early 1990s, namely single-layer high temperature brazing superabrasive grinding wheels. This kind of diamond grinding wheel in China is still in the research and development stage.
