How To Install And Use The Grinding Wheel

Nov 14, 2021

1. The grinding wheel must be visually inspected before installation and use, depending on whether it has cracks or damage, and hitting the grinding wheel with a wooden hammer, the sound should be crisp. The rotation test should be carried out according to the GB/T2493 standard before use, otherwise, it is strictly prohibited to use .

2.Before installation, the spindle speed on the machine must be checked, and it must not exceed the working speed indicated on the grinding wheel.

3. Only special nut wrenches are allowed to fasten the grinding wheel, and must be symmetrically and gradually tightened in order on the opposite sides of the spindle. The tightening of the nut should be appropriate. It is forbidden to use supplementary fixtures or tapping tools. Turn off the coolant to prevent the grinding wheel from being unbalanced .

4. The fit of the diameter of the grinding wheel, the spindle and the chuck of the grinding wheel should meet the requirements of the GB4674 standard.

5. The newly installed grinding wheel must be idling at the working speed according to the following time under the condition of a protective cover: the grinding wheel with an outer diameter of less than 400 mm shall not be less than 2 minutes, and the grinding wheel with an outer diameter of ≥ 400 mm shall not be less than 5 minutes. , The operator should not stand in front of the grinding wheel or in the tangential direction.

6. Grinding wheels that are not specifically used for end grinding (such as parallel grinding wheels) cannot be ground with the end of the grinding wheel, and grinding wheels that are not specifically used for external grinding (such as bowl-shaped and cup-shaped grinding wheels) are also not allowed to be performed on the outer circle of the grinding wheel. Grinding, so as not to break the grinding wheel.

7. When the grinding wheel is grinding the workpiece, it is forbidden to push the workpiece with a lever to increase the pressure on the grinding wheel.

8. For thin-slice grinding wheels and cymbal grinding wheels, if excessive force is used during cutting, it is easy to cause the grinding wheel to stop and jam and crush the grinding wheel, causing damage to the grinding wheel. When cutting the workpiece, multiple workpieces cannot be stacked and cut to prevent accidents.
