Description Of Diamond Metal Bond

Metal Bond (metallic bond) is a chemical bond that exists mainly in metals. It is a combination of electrostatic attraction between free electrons and metal ions arranged in lattice shape. Due to the free movement of electrons, the metal bond has no fixed direction and is therefore a non-polar bond. Metal Bond has many properties of metal. For example, the melting point and boiling point of the general metal increase with the strength of the metal bond. Its strength and weakness are usually related to the inverse of the metal ion radius, which is positively correlated with the free electron density inside the metal (which can be roughly regarded as positively correlated with the number of electrons in the outer electron of the atom).

In complexes (18e-), the metal is connected to the metal by covalent bond, also known as Metal Bond, in order to achieve a large number of objects. Metal Bond has no directivity, and changing the relative position between positive ions does not destroy the binding between electrons and positive ions, so the metal has good plasticity. Similarly, metal positive ions are replaced by another metal positive ion and do not destroy the bonding bond, and the ability of the metal to dissolve between them (called solidification) is also an important feature of the metal. In addition, metal conductivity, thermal conductivity, tight arrangement and metal positive resistance temperature coefficient are directly caused by the combination of metal bond.
