⑤ For rollers and grinding wheels with high precision requirements, electroplating is the only manufacturing method.

It is precisely because of these advantages, electroplating grinding wheel in high-speed, ultra-high-speed grinding occupies an undisputed dominant position.

Defects in electroplating diamond grinding Wheel:

In the coating metal and substrate and abrasive bonding surface does not exist a solid chemical metallurgy combination, abrasive is actually only mechanically embedded in the coating metal, so the control force is small, diamond particles in the heavy load of high-efficiency grinding easy to fall off (or coating flakes) and lead to overall failure;

In order to increase the control force, it is necessary to increase the thickness of the coating, the result is that the exposed height of abrasive particles and chip space decreases, grinding wheel is prone to blockage, poor heat dissipation effect, the surface of the workpiece is prone to burns. At present, the manufacture of electroplating grinding wheel in China has not yet realized the optimum design of the grinding wheel according to the requirements of processing conditions, and these inherent drawbacks of single-layer electroplating diamond grinding wheel will inevitably greatly limit its application in high efficiency grinding.
